Niagarascapes
The Niagara Region, consists of many beautiful cities and towns. The places I like to photograph the most are the falls area in the city of Niagara Falls, of course, and the historic town of Niagara on the Lake. Images of the entire Niagara Region collectively I like to call Niagarascapes. Photographing Niagara Falls, I like to compose my images with the falls as just one element of the image rather than the main focus. I find the mighty Niagara has been photographed millions of times with the the same composition, and I rarely want to take another cookie cutter image of it. Yes, I do have some of them too, but they aren't what I think as very creative. My desire is to create my own original pieces.
If you see colour to the sky, being the morning person that I am, most of these Niagara landscape photos have been taken at sunrise rather than sunset. It's my favourite time to shoot Niagara.

Niagara's Whirpool Aero Car (#0308)
The following description is from the Niagara Parks site describing this attraction. I really couldn't describe it any better...
The Aero Car was designed by a Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916. The cable car is suspended from six sturdy cables and offers a wonderful view of the Niagara Whirlpool which is formed at the end of the rapids where the gorge turns abruptly counterclockwise, and the river escapes through the narrowest channel in the gorge.
The aerial cable car travels safely between two different points of the Canadian shore of the Niagara River over the spectacular Whirlpool. A round trip is about one kilometre (3,600 feet), carrying its capacity of 35 standing passengers.
